Airbus is looking for a

Technical Referent for A350 Cabin Upgrades (d/f/m)

located in Hamburg with a possible start date of November 2024 or earlier.
This full-time role can be split between two people (Airbus “job-sharing” model) and thus is available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.
In this position you will be a member of the A350 Cabin Retrofit Solution Team. Our focus lies on providing our customers with a safe and reliable cabin in accordance with their requests. Each cabin upgrade project is unique and can range from a small colour change to a complete cabin upgrade.
As a Cabin Technical Referent, you will play a critical strategic role within the Cabin Retrofit Engineering organisation with interfaces to Customer Service, Engineering, Program and other departments. Your main objectives are to support the day to day operation but also to act as a bridge to enable our “future-readiness” by upskilling our people, designing processes, methods and tools.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Advising/mentoring the engineering teams with regards to operational topics, skills and DOA delegation development. Support in increasing the know-how and innovation through continuous trainings, coaching and support
Driving improvement initiatives related to process (incl. SB development process), methods and tools for the design, certification and business strategic tasks within the teams
Representing the interests of the Cabin Retrofit Engineering organisation with regards to certification topics to internal and external partners
Acting as the face of Upgrade Services in both internal and external meetings, including engagements with customers, regulatory authorities, and more.
Coordinating all stakeholders inside and outside Airbus to resolve technical problems and to provide technical assistance, e.g. for Cabin New Developments or during working parties
Desired skills and qualifications
Educated to a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
You have a strong background in Cabin Certification, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality
Relevant experience in executing complex technical projects
Experience in cabin design and monument development are needed
ATA25 CVE delegation for the A350 is desired, at least TAp delegation
English at a negotiation level
You have good communication skills and are able to adapt to different stakeholders
You are a team player who knows how to share your knowledge
Business travels
This position involves a willingness to travel on an occasional basis.
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
