Your responsibilities

For our new public affairs team, we are looking for a Public undamp; Regulatory Affairs Manager specialized in EU regulations. Leveraging your legal expertise and your experience in the energy sector, with a focus on hydrogen, you will manage impending policy and regulatory changes affecting our business. Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, you engage with political stakeholders, including associations, as well as internal experts.

• You work in close cooperation with the global public affairs team and other internal stakeholders, you identify and prioritize relevant policy issues, regulatory proposals and legislative initiatives on the EU and key member state levels.
• You develop positions and implement thyssenkrupp nucera’s engagement strategies for these issues.
• You coordinate the monitoring of legislative and regulatory developments with internal teams (especially legal) and external partners (especially associations).
• You manage thyssenkrupp nucera’s political stakeholder relations, cooperate with policy makers and multipliers in our main markets and represent thyssenkrupp nucera in industry associations.
• You provide regulatory advice on projects to internal stakeholders.

Your profile

• You have proven experience in managing legislative and regulatory processes, experience in working with political interest groups is an advantage.
• You understand how political processes work in the EU as well as in Germany, which stakeholders matter and how to successfully engage with them; experience in additional member states is a plus.
• You have a deep understanding of the hydrogen sector and its regulatory and stakeholder landscape, coupled with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
• You have completed your studies in law or a comparable field; at least basic legal training is a must.
• In your previous roles, you have developed and executed successful policy and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• You have a proven track record of cooperating cross-functionally, relying on your strong ability to translate between technical experts, business leaders and policy makers.
• You have a resilient network in politics, regulatory authorities, and industry (EU/DE/others).
• You are fluent in English and German; further language skills are a plus.
