We are looking for you:

Position of Doctoral Student at the Chair of English Literature (focus: Early Modern English Literature) (m/f/x)

in Munich
Your tasks and responsibilities:
Individual research and publication projects with the opportunity to work on a doctoral thesis
Participation in the research and publication activities of the Chair
Preparation and organisation of conferences and research projects, as well as support to the Chair with administrative tasks
Conducting teaching sessions (2,5 hours per week) in the English Literature Studies programs
Conducting exams and contribution to the development of study modules
Work in the Shakespeare Research Library.
Your qualifications:
Above-average degree in the fields of English Literature and/or Comparative Literature
Research interests in English Literature from the late Middle Ages to the present; expertise in the fields of late Medieval and Early Modern Literature, Shakespeare Studies, Modernity, Literary Theory and Aesthetics is welcome.
Interest in the library system and preferably relevant experience
If necessary, willingness to undergo training in library responsibilities
Excellent command of English as well as a sound knowledge of at least one more modern language; basic knowledge of Latin is welcome
Good organizational skills
Pedagogical skills; preferably academic teaching experience
An outline (ca. 5 pages) of your doctoral research project in English should be included in the application
