The role & Your key responsibilities

  • This key role within the Aenova Global Engineering organization will establish and oversee the Maintenance Reliability Functions, reporting to the Global Head of Engineering and serving as an active participant of the Global Operations team. This role will lead and drive the Reliability Engineering capability development and will establish a robust ongoing practice and deployment of strategies to optimize Reliability Engineering for all our 14 manufacturing sites across the globe. The purpose of this position is to continually advance the tools, analytics, standards and reporting to achieve and maintain an industry leadership position in asset lifecycle management. This leader works closely with global and local functions to ensure high asset reliability and maintainability for all GMP and non-GMP functional systems. The Maintenance reliability function oversees and directly influence the prevention of unplanned downtimes and stoppages, reduction of operating costs and increase OEE for all our manufacturing sites. Following systems and business processes are part of this role: Reliability Engineering: working in a matrix organization and lead multi-disciplinary and multinational teams to categorize critical equipment and analyze failure modes; employ reliability best practices (reporting, KPI, lifecycle management, risk assessment, preventive maintenance, spare parts strategy, replacement, and refurbishment CAPEX strategies.
  • CMMS (Calibration Maintenance Management System) business process owner for Aenova’s SAP Plant Maintenance Roll-out, develop and deploy the global template in a multi- disciplinary team. Define and harmonize global standards for scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance, integrate with site’s master schedule. Define and operationalize spare parts strategy in partnership with local engineering and manufacturing teams.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Pharma Engineering required
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or MBA preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ combined experience in asset lifecycle management in Pharma or equivalent regulated industry
  • A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in an Engineering management or project management role; work experience in the respective GMP-Manufacturing and with associated GMP and non-GMP utilities
  • Advanced knowledge and application of applicable regulations including direct support / interaction with regulators in an inspection setting
  • Excellent leadership, people management, organization, communication, and inter-personal skills
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills to influence technical professionals and stakeholders, including non-specialists at all levels in the organization.
  • Advanced understanding of asset lifecycle data analytic concepts and methods, statistics
  • Experience using and integrating enterprise level tools (SAP PM) in this space to successfully execute and deliver on asset lifecycle strategies
  • Fluent German and English language
  • Travel domestically and internationally
  • Expert use of MS Office, MS Project
