Your future tasks:
- Lead and embed cost & value engineering across Skyborn’s full project portfolio and lifecycle, ensuring sustained cost competitiveness and practical implementation.
- Challenge supply‑chain cost drivers and assumptions across engineering, materials, fabrication, T&I and services, working directly with suppliers to improve productivity and scope efficiency.
- Build and maintain a robust should‑cost and benchmark fact base, including cleansheets, to support decision‑making, negotiations and contract optimization.
- Identify, quantify and prioritize high‑impact cost and value opportunities across project stages and packages, translating insights into actionable levers and tracked value capture.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment on cost/value trade‑offs by partnering closely with Engineering, Development, Commercial, Package Management, Risk Management and Legal.
- Contribute to project and business risk management by identifying cost and value risks early and implementing optimization measures across functions and packages.
- Lead and facilitate structured value engineering initiatives in a matrix environment, delivering clear decisions, documented actions, and measurable value capture outcomes
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or equivalent technical discipline).
- Several years’ experience across engineering, fabrication/production, supply chain, T&I and/or commercial interfaces, ideally in offshore wind (foundations, cables, substations, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills to assess cost drivers and challenge engineering and commercial assumptions.
- Proven stakeholder management across engineering, commercial, risk, and legal functions in a matrix organization.
- Ability to lead value engineering from analysis and decision-making through to execution.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to suppliers and other office locations as required.
