Data Analyst (f/m/x) for Product and Process Development
We are tackling global plastic pollution - and you will be part of the solution!
At traceless, we develop and produce a new generation of materials designed to integrate harmoniously into nature instead of leaving harmful traces. Our patented technology transforms agricultural residues into traceless®: a plastic-free, home-compostable and bio-based granulate that works in harmony with nature - not against it.
As part of our team, you will contribute to our bold mission: replacing plastic at scale and building a climate-neutral, circular materials industry. More than just a job, this is your opportunity to join a science-driven, purpose-led and pioneering team determined to create real change.
Your responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Preparation: Collect, structure, clean and analyse technical data from product development, process development, quality testing and production.
- Correlation & Insight Analysis: Identify correlations between raw materials, formulations, process parameters, measured properties, and end-product performance.
- Product and Process Development Support: Support product and process development by turning experimental and technical data into actionable insights for formulation and application development, as well as process optimisation.
- Data Modelling & Dashboards: Develop and maintain internal data models and dashboards for product- and process-related insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product developers, process engineers, and quality specialists to translate data into actionable improvements and strategies.
- Experimental Design & Evaluation: Support experimental design through statistical planning and post-trial data evaluation.
- Data Platform Management: Manage and further develop our internal data platform, including the structuring, documentation and quality of technical data, in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Workflow Optimisation: Build and refine workflows for efficient data logging, visualisation, and documentation across lab, pilot and production environments.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports and data models to support development, troubleshooting and decision-making.
- Data Consistency & Traceability: Help improve data consistency, traceability and usability across laboratory, pilot and production environments.
- Data Architecture & AI Strategy: Contribute to the creation of a long-term technical data architecture and support the development of a practical AI strategy to integrate and technical data from development and production.
- Documentation & Communication: Prepare clear documentation, visualisations and presentations that translate complex data into understandable conclusions.
- Process & Quality Improvement Projects: Support cross-functional projects aimed at improving product performance, process stability and product quality.
- University degree in data science, engineering, physics, chemistry, material science, or a comparable field with strong analytical focus.
- Solid experience (3+ years) in technical data analysis, preferably in product development, process engineering, or quality environments.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills, with hands-on experience in data handling tools (e.g. Python, SQL, Power BI, or comparable platforms).
- Ability to interpret correlations between material structures, processing conditions, and product performance.
- Familiarity with laboratory or production data workflows and experiment planning.
- Interest in materials development, process optimisation and quality-related data analysis.
- Experience managing structured technical data platforms or databases.
- Experience or strong interest in building data structures, technical documentation and AI-ready data foundations.
- Team-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and a curiosity for sustainable material innovations.
- Structured, reliable and proactive, with a collaborative, hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in English (and ideally German).
