PhD in physics, material science or related disciplines
Experience with high-quality X-ray optics (e.g. Laue or Bragg monochromators or X-ray mirror systems)
Knowledge of metrology techniques for X-ray optics
Experiences with modern X-ray optics simulations and ray-tracing codes
Good technical understanding (e.g. high-heat load effects or clamping strains on mirror or crystal optics, vibrational sources)
Experience in working with engineers and technicians
Basic knowledge in Project management
Practical knowledge of programming and scripting languages
Excellent knowledge of the English and significant knowledge of the German language
