Cancer undergoes a complex parasitic evolution, continuously evading immune system detection while orchestrating profound changes in its surrounding microenvironment, known as the tumor microenvironment (TME). Beyond intrinsic tumor factors, host-related elements-such as the microbiota, microbiota-derived metabolites, diet, and hormones-collectively referred to as the macroenvironment, play a pivotal role in shaping the TME and potentially exacerbating cancer progression.
